view modes:
rgb cube — x=red, y=green, z=blue, range 0–255. Direct chromatic mapping (default — this is what hex actually IS).
hsv direct — x=hue (0–360°), y=saturation, z=value. Useful for seeing the band-shape of a narrow palette.
hsl cylinder — hue as angle, saturation as radius, lightness as height. No cyclic discontinuity at H=0/360°.
single-day mode connects the day's emissions in time-order. Marker size grows along the trail (small → large) so the largest dot is the latest emission of the day — head of the arrow.
